Call 999 or go to A&E if you, or someone you are supporting, is at immediate risk of harm, including:
- Thoughts of suicide with imminent intent, a plan, or an inability to stay safe
- Serious self-harm, or escalating risk of harm to others
- Overdose, suspected poisoning, or a severe reaction to medication
- Acute confusion, severe agitation or psychosis
- Any medical emergency such as chest pain, difficulty breathing or seizures
Call NHS 111 for urgent help that is not life-threatening
NHS 111 can connect you to your local urgent mental health helpline, 24 hours a day. You can also contact your GP for a same-day appointment, or your local crisis team if you already have their number.
We are not a crisis service
ADHD Doctors cannot offer immediate assessment or intervention by email, web form or voicemail, and messages outside our hours may not be seen straight away. Our hours are Monday to Friday 8am–8pm and Saturday 9am–4pm. Please do not rely on us for urgent help.
